Get Involved

Silver State Fair Housing Council (SSFHC) believes that education and outreach about fair housing rights and responsibilities is an integral component of any fair housing advocacy program. SSFHC offers a variety of educational opportunities to the public and to housing providers.

Volunteers are always needed. It’s a way to help out the community and get involved with helping to determine if discrimination is occurring.” – Joel Lindsey, Education/Outreach Coordinator

Report Discrimination

If you suspect housing discrimination, call Silver State Fair Housing Council (SSFHC) about your experiences.

Become a Tester

Testers must be objective, careful observers, accurate reporters, and truthful witnesses. Any differences in treatment may form the basis for the successful resolution of a housing discrimination complaint.

Poster Contest

Each year, Silver State Fair Housing Council hosts a fair housing poster contest open to first through eighth grade students in Nevada. The contest is designed to teach young people that all Nevadans have equal access to housing regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, family status, disability, ancestry, sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.
